I feel some stress, but that's because I've being trying to get myself back into study habits after I let myself slack off a bit after my trial HSC exam.

What you are feeling is probably the building up of stress over a period of time from trying to do too much at the same time. I suggest you try to remove some of those things that you just cannot cope with, and that should help you remove some of the stress you feel at the moment. I hope that you do get rid of that stress, as it will help you in the long run :)

Welcome to BOS Gertie, hope you enjoy your stay.

Well, I'm pretty sure all of us are in the same boat as you, with the yearlies coming up and such, so it's okay to feel the way you do. I'm not sure that wanting to cry all the time is exactly normal so maybe having a talk with a counsellor, your teachers and friends would help you. Having a good support network is a good way to cope with escalating stress levels.

What SoulSearcher's said about removing some stuff to cope is quite good but it might be hard. Just try to do a little each day to not let it all pile up and up until it seriously overwhelms you.

haha we all get stress, you're not alone. Everyone's different, some can cope with stress, but some have more difficulties. The way that I try to overcome heavey stress is by saying to myself: "You have to do the work anyway, so you'd rather just make a start now". Stress can also be a good thing, because it makes you aware of the work that needs to get done, so in a way stress can be a motivator :)

Procrastination leads to stress. Good luck.

Heya Gertie! I agree with the above posts.
Take one day at a time. Many thousands have come before us and have survived there is no reason why we can't!
Talk to your friends as well! They help massively and it helps to stay away from other stressed people cuz they only make you more stressed.
Crying every now and then can be a good thing is a way but if it's happening all too often you should seek some help.
Keep your head up!

It's alright to feel stressed and nervous and all. Just remember as my year advisor told us today, that Year 11 is the working out of things for year 12, like study habits and planning and organisation. Just make sure you don't leave things to the last minute then you'll be sweet =)

Stress...hmm I suffer from stress!!

....but I relieve it by doing things I enjoy...reading, writing, gyming, jogging...

I say to be happy and successful you need a good balance between health and study. =]

I've been stressing ever since year 7. not only over school work, but everything in general. I am stressed up until today and will most likely stay that way :)

lol I should try that some time
I use to be so lazy with homework (Year 8-10) because of stupid committments such as gf, soccer and games. I had no motivation to do school work at all and so I didn't even know the meaning of stress.
I don't know what happened, I gave up on all those things and have slowly began to commit myself to school and now...I'll use my phrase again "stressed like a chicken"
