Did that. They're still going on about some 50th Anniversary. Why can't those silly staff members update the website? URRGH. Annoying when no one knows when the start date is.

Yeah, my school starts on 28th Jan. I guess I can call in the school that day to ask. If they don't answer the phone I'll know for sure.

I want to know too. I don't think its cancelled though.
As for those that want to call up, you can probably call up on the 27th as the teachers are suppose to be back that day- just not students, because you know, they need pupil free day(s).

You'll probably hear about it on the news if its on... then again, I think DET is trying to discourage the strike.

My teacher showed me the e-mail. If the meeting goes well tomorrow then it's cancelled.

It's taking an awfully long time for anyone to find out otherwise. No one is gonna know when to go back. But judging from the latest article on the NSW Teachers Fed. website, it looks like negotiations are going well, hence strike cancellation.

Well, if there's still nothing about it on the news you could always phone the school on the Tuesday (staff development day) and confirm when school starts.

The IRC is meeting today with DET and teachers Fed. Both parties said late last week that it is likely an agreement will be considered today. I wouldn't expect an announcement to late this afterniin or tomorrow. I also think there will be a stop work meeting in any case next week to see if the agreement is ratified by the members if endorsed by the Fed executive.
