I was just curious, because I structure my paragraphs based on my texts (as in 1 paragraph per text), the paragraphs are slightly long sometimes. I was told after my trial to watch my structure because my paragraphs were too long, yet I still got 15/15. My question is should I separate my paragraphs into, say, sub-paragraphs so my structure doesn't suffer, or will this be viewed as unnecessary by the markers?

they can't realli penalise you for having paragraphs that are too long, although all paragraphs seem lengthy in hsc because of the booklets.

sub paragraphs mite disrupt your argument, because typically a new paragraph means a totally new idea or text. there wouldnt be a problem if it was a text type other than essay.

how about you try to cut out little words, or making your essay more concise?

Yeah I think you should make short paragraphs, as this is how the examiners base their findings of ideas.
