Yeah since his site has so much 'evidence', a few obscure photos and all of a sudden the SRC is a terrorist organisation. I don't disagree with much of what phanatical says (particularly when it comes to the way our student funds are squandered), but his methods and some of his conclusions are questionable (sensationalist tripe a lot of it is).

I am the proverbial voice in the crowd trying to get my message out over the top of the screams of the Labor Socialist bloc. Sometimes I use unorthodox methods of campaigning, such as an election video that uses dark or militaristic music. Sometimes I use photographs (in the case of the police being beaten up, it's the only one I could get that isn't blurred). I definitely use sensationalism as a marketing tool, because "Our Bloody SRC" is a lot easier to market than "People we elected to the SRC who beat up a bunch of students."

But in the end, my message is completely honest. I've seen students being beaten up for no other reason than that they happen to be a friend of somebody running in the election against the Party. On more than one occasion, I've BEEN one of those students attacked for it. If this isn't bad enough, then let's never forget - they financially supported the Falun Gong cult, responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. I take this personally, as any one of you would when it's YOUR friends and relatives dead at the hands of the cult.

They don't support modern medicine, so they vicariously kill people. Which is a fair conclusion to draw I thought, alternative medicine has it's place but only after modern medicine has thoroughly been utilised.

Two reasons. The first is that it helps promote their "humanitarian" image, by criticising a foreign Government that people in the west already don't trust because it's so different from what exists in the west. The second is just plain ignorance of the issue, supporting what's fashionable with no understanding of what is actually going on.

Hah, I knew there was something suspicious about the mandatory student fee dropping $50. What I forgot is that they charge GST on it, so in reality the student contribution for continuing students is still $540, and for first years $660. Fuckers.
