there was a girl in my 3u maths class last year who at the end of a topic said "sir i dont get this topic can you start the whole thing again"
lol...nice one. So she never actually mentioned she had trouble while you were actually doing the topic?Jaydels said:there was a girl in my 3u maths class last year who at the end of a topic said "sir i dont get this topic can you start the whole thing again"
nope, only mentioned it once we finished the topic.....she's now doing general~ ReNcH ~ said:lol...nice one. So she never actually mentioned she had trouble while you were actually doing the topic?
Uh huh several others did as well lolAntiHyper said:omg she dropped down from 3-unit to general maths :O
lol...hmm. There's a guy at my school who started off as an accelerant in Year 9 (7 of whom now do MX2). He dropped out of the accelerant class into MX1, followed very soon by a further drop to 2U and then to General.AntiHyper said:omg she dropped down from 3-unit to general maths :O
Well, he actually entered the accelerated class without the capability in the first place. From memory he scored 2/30 in our first class test. Besides, if someone had the capability to study maths at the highest level I don't see the reason for the sudden change. Anyway I've gone off topic so I won't go any further...silvermoon said:maybe he just decided he didn't want to do maths - after all, if he was in an accelerant program he must have the capability
yea that's what i thought as well when i read it....shouldn't like the top maths people be offered acceleration..?silvermoon said:what do you mean entered without the capability? surely your head of maths would have only offered acceleration to those s/he felt had ability? well, I'm not sure about your second point, i know several excellent maths students who were at the top of our form and dropped maths in year 12 due to either large workloads or dislike. But, like you say, we've gotten waaaay off topic.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAsilvermoon said:obviously this person was forced to drop from the course by the other accelerated student's who sent death threats when he asked too many questions
...well, that's my theory anyway
