I'm definitely focussing on 3 Harwood poems... how in depth should i know the others?
I believe that should get you across, I'm assuming you would study, The Violets, At Mornington, Mother who gave me life?I'm definitely focussing on 3 Harwood poems... how in depth should i know the others?
but wouldn't that be a risk? what if they specify a poem? whilst it is rare it can happen. Look at the standard paper for 2010, they specified extracts, so you might need to know in brief detail about the others!I would only do 3 in depth and not touch the others. I think thats what the majority of people do.
Fair enough. I didnt do Gwen Harwood, but with the Justice Game (which I did), they never specified chapters so you just used three of your choice (we were told to specialise in 3).but wouldn't that be a risk? what if they specify a poem? whilst it is rare it can happen. this is exactly how i feel for Kenneth Slessor's poems, i originally was only going to focus mainly on three of his poems, but my teacher said we should know all because we never know if they are going to specify certain poems :/ :/but wouldn't that be a risk? what if they specify a poem? whilst it is rare it can happen. I'd say know three like the back of your hand- do your practice essays with them. Just have a paragraph of pre written work on one idea for the other poems. That been said, I highly doubt them, specifying a poem - but the risk is not worth it!this is exactly how i feel for Kenneth Slessor's poems, i originally was only going to focus mainly on three of his poems, but my teacher said we should know all because we never know if they are going to specify certain poems :/ :/
