Studying: where to start? (1 Viewer)

Up til now I've been doing no study. So I figured that that since the half-yearlys are now behind me, I'm over halfway in most of my courses, and the HSC is only getting closer, that now is a good time to start to do some regular study. I figure that reading through my texts, taking notes, summarising etc sounds fair enough... but where do you suggest I start? At the start of the course? Where I'm at now? At the beginning of the topic I'm working on? Your thoughts appreciated.

Oh, I just thought of a good method:

Post your syllabus(es/i ?) around your room and highlight the key points. That way, you know what to study and when.

I'd start from the beginning (as a refresher) then work your way through, also start with you're favourite subject or subject you are most interested in and work backwards, that way if you start stuff you like you're more likely to study.

make notes from the syllabus if u havent yet
it will b better 4 u 2 start those notes 4 the topics uv done already
that way u wont hav 2 make notes for all your topics come time 4 the HSC

Well I do IPT so I know how to decode it manually, but I just used an online deocder to save time

start just taking notes, pretty much like sweets said just start working away at notes for each subjects and topics etc set some goals, for the day and week and month and term etc

Well... believe it or not, i enjoy studying. I just feel like I'm not wasting my time... and that is a good feeling. But marks are a good motivation... because I know exactly what marks I need. See, I now know what uni course i want to get into, and I know what uai I need, and I know that to get that, i need to get good assessment and exam results, and to do that I need to study. I also need to improve my class rank -- it needs to be 1st. As I am 2nd - 5th, depending on subjects, that shouldn't be too hard... all i need to do is study. And as I 'enjoy' studying.... see, I've got it all worked out. Nah, not really. But the logic works...
