I have been having trouble with Geometry of the Earth and especially with Nautical miles and Knots conversion and questions due to lack of study, and lucky me I have a test tomorrow morning on it.
This is my dilemma:

A yacht sails between two islands in the Pacific Ocean: Norfolk Island (29'S, 168'E) and Vanuatu (17'S, 168'E).

a) What is the direction of Vanuatu from Norfolk Island?
this one was common sense - north

b)Calculate the length of the yachts journey in nautical miles.
19'-17'= 720M
12'x60=720M
1'=60M
therefore: 720M

c) How long will the journey take if the yacht is sailing at an average speed of 8 knots?Answer in days and hours.
This question I have a fair idea I just don't know how to convert it to days and hours.
Answer: 3 days and 18hrs - when I tried to work it out I got 4 days
Thanks in advance for any help :)

You know that the distance is 720 nautical miles and that the average speed is 8 knots.

1 knot is equivalent to travelling at 1 nautical mile per hour.

Therefore, if you re-arrange the speed, distance and time formula for time, you get:

Time = (720 nautical miles)/(8 nautical miles/hr) = 90 hrs = 3 days and 18 hrs
