...Omg how hard is that to do! its common courtesy. MORE than a month after an interview and still no answer from them. How can you think that isn't a reflection on their work ethics/professionalism/practices!
...along with the other criticisms we've gone through earlier, those alarm bells are still ringing.. but Really, really loud now. Is it not that recruitment/selection is as much about finding the right applicant as selling the position TO that applicant? Seems they need to do some sales training. :)

(And, you're not shallow; even if you hate the company it's always nice to receive a compliment, either ex- or implicitly.)
(Ta for the intern-timing reminder, too!)

not the TAFE-UNI thing...(because i have no experience to compare the two in HR, ohh actually i do but you can't really see it in recruitment, everyone in biggish private recruitment firms are smarmy)..
...The TAFE/Uni thing mightn't be real, but just a reflection of the people I've worked with.. Without dragging this thread off topic, it's just a different mindset/outlook: they seem to do the job without any ..."interest"? in it... They seem very bored, and inflexible as to the way things "should be".. shouldn't be generating stereotypes like that but just a casual observation. Could easily be the people/employer I work with...

Excuse my lack of participation recently, but what're you applying for at MQ?

Well i would have to disagree with the Tafe/Uni attitude as I have two assistants one has a degree the other Tafe qualification and well i simply believe its completly up to the individual - just my opinion.

As for Maryjane and Anne - I didnt say i agree with their practices I just said not to be upset - anyways.. any further opinion of mine i will keep to those of whom i speak as I feel as if the way in which some of my comments are read are taken the wrong way.

Sorry Guys... didnt mean to sound as if i was standing up for something I don't agree with

Aw hey erica, sorry hun i didn't mean to attack you, i value your opinion very much so, as you can tell by our msn conversations in regards to HR and your contributions to MQ healthy.

I'm just sort of angry at siemens for being so....c r a p in regards to keeping me informed or lack thereof about the position.

 Totally agree.. is just a pattern I've noticed in my travels; not saying by any stretch its to be found everywhere. Is good to have some evidence disconfirming it, actually.

Mserica, don't censor yourself (or let anyone else do it, either) -- the internet's horrendous for communicating the tonality of what you're saying (unless you make use of extensive combinations of smileys to imply the subtlties of what you're trying to say.. :santa:  :ninja: :D ;)). It's good (and highly valued!) to hear an experienced point of view regarding this sort of stuff; as excitable students we mightn't all always agree with the apparent realities of the world (in principle or perception), but experience nonetheless adds good level of valuable information to the threads. Definetly something that would be sorely missed!

Could always give them a call to see what's happening.. (or, wait 2 months and they might get back to you ;))
