hey all im seriously considering purchasing a Subaru Liberty GX a 1990-1992 model
automatic.....does anyone have any tips for me or comments on that car??

i have a '91 liberty gx

i love the car, has lots of guts, is quite spacious and generally kicks ass.

huge downside is that it is very expensive to run.

yeah thanks man does it guzzle heaps? fuel consumption? how much u paying for insurance and who u with?

i find it does, yeah. i'll get between 480-550kms to a tank. sometimes more, but only when roadtripping.

no idea on insurance.

If your thinking about the 4WD version, personally I would be wary of getting such an old Liberty, they have alot more components on them that can fail especially with age... and as mentioned their fuel consumption for a 4cyl car is very poor virtually the same or worse than 6 cylinders of that time.

Look at getting the Heritage shape..i don't know if they had it for the early 90's model, but my mate with the mid 90's model, has a nice interior and all, nice cruiser car, but it's got no balls...
