2U Dance
2U PDHPE
2U Society and Culture or 2U Community and Family Studies

Would also consider 2U Legal Studies.

Career in mind. Paediatric Nursing, Mental Health/Diabetic Nurse Eduator, Something with children. Perhaps an English/Dance teacher in a school.

I'm still deciding, but I'm definately doing the following:
Maths Ext. 1
English Ext. 1
Physics (Or Biology)
Chemistry
And something else. I'm not exactly sure. Possibly something that I enjoy, such as PD/H/PE, Society and Culture, or Biology.

Career: I'm keeping it fairly open. Anything medical or scientific. Although I haven't completely ruled out a few other career paths. I'll probably do Medicine, Physiotherapy, Vet. Science or Optometry at University. Or maybe I'm just not completely sure. :p

Your teachers do have an idea of what you are capable of, however choose the subject anyway, and then if you cannot cope with it, change or drop the subject.

if your really committed to do 3 unit then you should be fine. when we had a subject selections, the head teacher came around to all the classes and recommended to students which maths course they should pick. i was told that i would be best suited to general, but if i worked hard enough i could do fine in 2 unit, no mentioning of 3 unit what-so-ever. i wanted to do 3 unit, and i did, and in the first two tests i got 100% :D. now im in year 12 doing 4 unit, comming 1st in 3 unit and 2nd in 4 unit, so if your comitted enough, you'll be fine.

I guess ur right sasquatch. I'm not "up there" in English right now, but I'm still doing Eng Ext next yr. I just feel that if I'm commited and passionate about the course, I'll get the results from the effort I put in.
And good on ya, hope you do just as well in the HSC!

I think some schools are like that. Have you asked WHY you can't do it though? Changing schools seems a bit extreme. Maybe your parents could contact the school?

Extension English 1

And either Modern History / Society & Culture. I haven't decided between the two yet.

Career: Journalism. I'm really aiming to do a BA (Media & Communications) at Sydney Univeristy.

lol. Who are you? I'm from sefton as well!! What sucks even more is the English Staff. Many people that deserve to do Advanced have been given "Probation". I'm on "probation" as well . :(

Man, I'm defininitely changing schools if I have to do English Standard ><.......

Maybe if you do well in common test, they might re-consider you for 3-unit..( wk 6 i think)

Its always better to do something of a higher level rather than lower because you always have the ability to drop. I'm goignt o start with extension english and maths and see if i can cope with them (which i most probably can't) then i'll see which one i am better off dropping.

My subjects:
3 unit mathematic
3 unit english
2 unit chemistry|
2 unit biology
2 unit Modern
2 unit Legal studies

I would like to do medicine but by the looks of it so does everyone else. Umm so i guess i'll just opt for a science degree.

If you want to get into medicine, then you should go for it, not just take the second option becuase everyone else wants to do the first option.
Hmm yeah, it'll always be my first choice but i'm realistic enough to see that it will be hard to get into the course. *sigh*:bomb:

I wanted to do music as well & it's apsolutely tore me apart. I love music, but because I don't do really well in the subject I'm probably going to let it go :( if one of my other subjects doesn't turn out very good I'll do it instead.
