I'm in year 10 now and am currently in the middle of choosing subjects for next year. I know for certain that I want to do:
Adv. English (2U)
Mathematics (2U)
Geography (2U)
Studies of Religion (1U) [Its mandatory to do a religion course at my school]

So my dilema is choosing a science. I'm extremely passionate and fascinated by it, and also very competent-Im ranking 3rd. Ive talked to the science co-ordinator who says i can choose any combination (Bio, Physics, Chem)

Based purely on a level of interest my first choice would be Biology and Physics. But, im looking into doing something in science/medicine/environmental science(?) at university or as a career [i know thats quite a range but its where my interest lies] so ive heard from nearly everyone that chemistry is very useful and sometimes a pre-requisite of science/medicine.

I need to do another 2U course so i was wondering would it be alright if i took a total of 6U of science? its definitely a possibiltiy since i know a girl in yr 11 at the moment who is taking all 3.

Don't think that there's any real pre-requisites for many if any courses but for sure you could do 3 sciences.

The scaling is Phys>Chem>Bio>E&E.

Most undergraduate science courses tend to have a prerequisite of Chemistry so it would be useful to pick it up if you're looking anywhere in the science fields. I suggest you also take Biology to complement your interests in Medicine/Environemental Science.

And yes, you can take on all three sciences, though you should keep an eye on the workload.

My sister does three sciences and she's going fine :] and since you're good, you could most likely do it.

Advanced English, Maths Ext, Chemistry, Physics + ( a easier subject that you find enjoyable).

That's all you need to know.

Nope. Only recommended that you do chem, you should do chem for med, but you dont need to, you can always do a bridging course later... but better chances with chem and another science.. i prefer physics, but meh..

I suggest, that if you want to take a science, that Chemistry is not a bad choice. Chemistry underpins a lot of the ideas in both Physics and Biology and Chemistry will give you a heads up at university, rather than forking out cash for a bridging course.

But pick you science based on how much you will enjoy it. Personally, I would enjoy any science (except Senior Science *vomit*) as they're cover interesting topics.
