I dont know if this has been asked in another forum or anything but when do we find out which subjects counted towards your UAI (if u did more than 10 units that is).

Can we find out now or do we have to wait. Do we ever find out?

its not that hard to work out what was counted

look at your marks (split them into individual units if it helps) & then the top 10 units of those were the ones counted (but they have to put at least 2u of eng in)

That wont work though because the marks you received are aligned. Scaled marks are what is used.

scaling doesnt change your marks that much
if i used my marks (aligned)....
72, 63, 82, 67, 69, 34 (/50)
only 1/2 of the 63 would be used, & the 34 would make up the 10th unit....
you can check sam if you want

You are not guaranteed that the marks will scale the same this year though

it's not that obvious
i got 75 in ext2 maths and 91 in legal studies
according to SAM the 75 would have counted in 2003 and not legal.

That should help you work it out. That table showed me my Extension 2 Maths mark of 72 means I'm in the bottom 25% of students in the subject. But that mark will count rather than my 86 in Economics, where I was in the top 25%. Thats because the scaled mark for the maths is just under 41.5, while the eco scales to 38.2. I think thats how it works, someone correct me if I read that wrong.
