Just wondering when get more details on it. And if someone hasn't registered, are they allowed to rock up on the day?

Well, you can still register at http://fmx01whs.ucc.usyd.edu.au:8080/ArtsNetwork/login.jsp
annnd .. most of the first year kids are assigned a mentor, so the person who isn't registered wouldn't have a mentor - but I'm sure the mentors are nice enough to add an extra person to their group on short notice.

Best to sign up though!

So give us a run down of how your honours year will go. What are these classes for?

First semester we have to complete two units of study - which are pretty much like normal undergrad subjects. These are:

-Practising Sociology
-New Debates in Social Theory

Both are worth 20% of the overall mark

And then throughout the year, you complete an 18-20,000 word thesis with a supervisor, which is worth 60% of the overall mark.

Yep I borrowed some books with my old card today. They just type some numbers into the computer and it is fine. You can't use the automatic borrowing machines tho
