So here it is:

1)Identify some METALS, METALS ALLOYS, and COMPOUNDS that have been identified as exhibiting property of superconductivity and their critical tempseratures and give current explanations of the superconductivity of these metals, metal alloys and compounds.

2)Explain why a magnet hovers above a superconducting material that has reached superconducting temperature.

3)Describe possible applications of superconductivity including maglev train.

4)Evaluate effectiveness of current use and limitations of superconductors.

Any good ideas of places to start or people to talk to? If anyone knows of someone or somewhere that is active in the field of superconductors could you pass on contact details?

Cheers.

Hey! i have a similar task

2) Superconductors expel magnetic field, and hence repel magnets. This repulsion can be stronger than gravity, which leads to levitation - the most fascinating manifestation of superconductivity.
Superconducting Levitation

a limitation of superconductors is that they are superconductors t low temps which limits when you can use them.
