Hey guys, I just thought id share a story with you all, regarding the O Ball being a Sell Out.
I got my ticket yesterday, with a couple of mates and came up for uni today to do somethings, then was planning to go around 7ish. At the door, the bouncer realised I had thongs on, and wouldnt let me in. So that was my night ruined.
Standing around near many of the "Tickets Sold Out" signs they had plastered everywhere, I was trying to ring my friend and tell him the bad news. In the space of about 10 minutes I watched as many as 25 people turn away upon reading the signs.
This led me to an idea. Scalping.
Now I had originally intended to go to the function, but this was something I could not refuse to consider. I approached a group of people, about three guys in a group and one of them didnt have a ticket. When I told them I had a ticket I was willing to sell them, some others overheard who where in similar circumstances.
Between four people, it turned out to be an auction.
$120 for the ticket. Not a bad effort for the $22 I paid.
I hope for his sake, he had a good night.
