I think its like 1km away from the town and like 150m from the beach.

to be honest its very much overrated in surfers..
best bet is to rent a house somewhere on the east coast of aus and get about 10 of your mates to put in.. or just get a hotel in the city in sydney if you live here.. the clubs in surfers arent so great..
then again if you're with mates anywhere will be good but surfers isn't all its cracked upto be and will be worse with restrictions coming in..

but schoolies is what you make it so by all means enjoy

I don't know about the resitrictions. Though i know they have massive beach parties on the first week and that is about it for planned entertainment for the 3 weeks. So Week 1 is better for U18's i have been told. Wish i knew that before i booked.

yup, surfers week 2, "Top of the Mark". its like 100m from the beach, and less than that to cavill avenue. fairly pumped, and have forgotten about schoolwork to concentrate on organising schoolies.

and whoever said surfers isnt good, is lying. if its got a beach and alcohol, then im happy.

Hey I'm staying at Surfers too. Holiday North Apartments.
Schoolies will be an awesome experience for all of us "School-Leavers" to get away from responsibility and most importantly our parentals.
Schoolies is for celebrating graduating Senior High and finishing the HSC, but it's also (for many) a first time holiday, where we are the organisers, deciders and participants and get to enjoy being 18 finally a young adolescent with more responsibilities and freedom.

Ok, you sound pretty I need to write an essay response to everything and if schoolies was next week your life would be 100 times better!

New restrictions: at this point the only new restrictions that have been seriously discussed are around parents supplying their kids alcohol for schoolies.

I seriously doubt police will go up against parents.

Either way gold coast is *very* heavily policed during schoolies.

Week 1 is best for under 18 because of the beach parties and bands and week 1 or 2 is best for 18+ week 3 pretty much is very low key in terms of schoolies and is more of a marketing gimmick to sell hotel rooms.
