I don't feel comfortable answering that survey, as I had an eating disorder.
But if you need any help, PM me. I can share experiences, but I can't give you numbers/figures because it's part of the recovery process.
Sorry. I hope it goes well.

1) How old are you? 17

2) How much do you weigh? (In kilograms) .(Try to be as accurate as possible and remember all surveys are confidential)

I don't weigh myself all that often, but late lat year I was 45-ish, so I'd be guessing about the same_3)

3) What is your height? (In centimeters)
165cm

4) Do you believe you are overweight? Why or not?
No, because if proportion to my height, I think I'm normal weight.

5) Do you worry about your current weight?

Not really, although I'll probably gain weight over this year, with the HSC and all.

6) Do you feel pressure to become/stay thin? Why or why not?
IF YES, ANSWER QUESTIONS 7 AND 8

Not personally, but I think if I did gain too much weight I would feel pressure to become thinner- though this would be mainly for the sake of my own health more then anything else.

7) Where does this pressure come from? (There can be more then one answer.)

Friends-
Peers-
The media-
The opposite sex-
Boyfriend-
Yourself-
Other: Please state.

9) Do you feel the media encourages the message ‘thin is beautiful’ in society today? If yes, how?

Although the media is attempting to instill young girls with more holistic notions of beauty, I feel that a lot of the time it seems very disingenuous, and the 'thin is beautiful' message still resonates more strongly than any other. I also find that a lot of the efforts to challenge this prevailing perception, much of the time it is contradicted in more subtle ways (e.g running a story of voluptuous beauty, but still exhibiting twog-like models), or sometimes, the contradictions are even more explicit. For example, flicking through my sister's magazine about a year ago, they ran an article that promoted 'body confidence in all shapes', only to have a consecutive article on a guide to 'shape up.' This hypocrisy, to me, demonstrates that the media, despite a few token attempts, continues to promote this provincial idea of what constitutes beauty.

10) Are you currently on any diet?
(IF NO, ANSWER QUESTION 11)

13) What do you think is your worst?

Do not know.

14) What would be your ideal body weight?
45-55ish

15) What would be your ideal height?

170? But then I'd want to gain weight too.

16) Are you affected by seeing the thin and toned girls in magazines?
Not really. i don't read them all that often, and when i see them, I'm pretty indifferent.

Name some magazines that you think can influence teenage girls body image.

for example, Zoo Weekly, Ralph, Cleo, Cosmo, Dolly, FAMOUS, OK Weekly, celeb mags etc.

All of the above.
