Do you think it's fair for a student to recieve a suspension for a week and a half before the trials? It's happened at my school, and I don't know the entire incident but I still think it's unfair.

What I'm trying to say is this girl gets a week and a half at home to study, whilst a lot of subjects are not doing revision as they've completed the syllabus.

I've studied pretty well I suppose, but I'd love to still have it off for some extra preparation.

If you act like a dickhead you deserve to get suspended. It doesn't matter that the trials are coming up. Maybe this person should of thought about it before they decided to do something stupid.

Don't you do revision during class?
Not really- I've completed the syllabus for 4 of my 6 subjects - the 4th, maths, being completed today.

In english my teacher has been teaching us about the structure of the two papers, we've been going over our last legal studies assessment which everyone stuffed up, and in religion we're again going over an assessment everyone bombed out in.

So, school's been of help to me somewhat this week...but if I had the choice to go to school and do this or go home and study, I wouldn't hesisate picking home for a second...

People, what I meant was this girl gets a week and a half at home to study, whilst a lot of subjects are not doing revision as they've completed the syllabus. I don't think it's fair.

I think what she means is that its unfair for the student to be suspended because they will have extra time to study at home.
If you want time to study at home why don't you just get a doctors certificate and be 'sick' fo the weeks leading up to the trials? Personally I wouldn't give a shit. I get so sick of people thinking that someones got a tiny edge over them then the constant whinging which inevitably ensues.

So just don't go to school. Or get suspended yourself. Just stop complaining.

If the suspension was deserved, then yes.

Don't know what they're complaining about, it's more time to study.

Since I went to your school, what she did must have been pretty damn extreme to warrant a suspension this close to the trials. I'd have thought she'd get a string of detentions myself, knowing the staff.
Yeah, she causes a fair bit of trouble. It was a physical and verbal fight, and she doesn't have any other friends than this particular friendship group, so maybe that's why they aren't letting her back in??? Dunno.

Chances are that if she's the suspending-fighting kinda gal then she won't be using the time to study? Plus that never looks good on a record.

She's actually quite academic - she goes alright at school, not top-of-the-class, but she tries.
