i just enrolled at swic in parra. and im makin this thread for people to put any info they have about the place. or if they know anyone whos gone there and then done a degree at uws. etc. i was wonderin im from wollongong. and if i did get into uws after doin swic-fast track option, only 4 mths. then enrolled at uws could i get a transfer to uow doin a business degree.

I applied for SWIC aswell, though I'm aiming to do UniTrack. What I wanna know is if just anyone will get in, as long as they've got the requirements.. or is it just a select few and such. Better not be.

i got in like pretty quickly, u have to meet certain uai requiremnts, fast track is uai=57 and standard is 55. but if i were u id apply quickly dependin on what course u do, eg. business fills up really quickly and the ppl there told me to apply fast, i did and around 10days later i got a letter sayin im in. so everyone can get in depends how fast u apply.

Yeah well I got in, but still gonna wait for the main round of uni offers. It's kinda expensive.. but after 5 months you get to go directly into uni.

well u dont get in directly u do have to meet certain gpa requirements. business is gpa of 6.5, law is 8.5. if u get those then ur in, im not sure what will happen if u dont get the required gpa

well yeah, but say you do well, you get accredited for the next admissions round for UWS.

Im curious bout swic when i finish hsc 2005 im thinkin of doin this fast track program which takes bout 1 semester for IT if my intended uai dramitcally decreases
so if they except me to uws after the program can I attend mid entry to the degree? mean start on the semester 2 if so how would I complete the last semester( summer school )or is this progam credits towards the degree?
also can I choose any It degree or are they a small choice to pick.?

any past students tell us bout the studying involved is it really like uni lecture or back to the HSC or tafe classes

I dont think they call it SWIC anymore..its not swic btw, its SWIC..
