I am not where to put this thread but...if someone needs to move that's fine.

I have a quick question to ask here, it will be great if anyone could answer that.

I heard from my English teacher that syllabi English and Science changed significantly when the new HSC came in, is this true?

I am a bit worried here because I have this HSC textbook for Biology which was published in 2001 and I reckon the date of publish was after the release of the release of the syllabus but I am just not sure whether it was 2001 that the syllabus for Science changed or not...

Thanks in advance.

no i don't think the syllabus changed significantly because we still use those past papers for revision. most of the school books are old editions. there aint any problem with using that textbook.:D

So you reckon 2001 published textbook is still fine for the job?

???

Bio syllabus changed like 6 years ago. And I am just asking whether my 7 year old textbook will do a right job or not.

namu im not sure this will help cause i only do chemistry but i am also using my sister's books from like 6-7 yrs ago and i checked and it's only a couple of values such as RTP here and there. nothing overly significant has changed. i think 2001 publication onwards should be fine.

just use the syllabus as ur study guide and then look for information in your textbook :) That way u should be fine. Always remeber to ask ur teacher if u have any doubts.
