can someone plz explain the systems/contingency management theory for me. I can't quite understand the whole concept.

System theories is when the managers view the organisation as a system, where each seperate part interacts with and affects other parts.

Contingency management is when the nature of the business environemnt is analysed, and the most appropraite management thoery is used to respond to a particular situation.

So contingency is finding the most appropriate stratergy for a situation, and not just applying one stratergy to every situation? (cause this is what I thought it was)
