Can someone explain the meaning of the HSC Mean colom. Obviously it's in the form of a mean (i.e. out of 50), but what is it and what does it represent?

Thanks in advance!

Hmm... I must have missed this post.

The mean is the average mark - the scaled mean is a measure of the overall demonstrated academic ability of the candidature for a course (i.e. the level of scaling).

Is that scaled mark what the UAC scales or BOS? Sorry if that's a stupid Q.

Actually, it's done by the Technical Committee on Scaling - but for all intents and purposes you may as well say the UAC. :p
