To ensure we get full marks for tables/graphs what features should they have?

I remember in school we got in trouble for having broken lines on our tables....

use crosses when plotting points on a graph
try to use the entire graph space provided
always draw a line or curve of best fit and ignore 'outlier points'
always have a title, and label your axes with measurments. have a proportional spacing of the units on the axes

My chemistry teacher said that at the marking centre you need to use up at least 75% of the grid space available but in the HSC they usually give you a perfect sized one for your axis to fit completely.

Also don't draw your line of best fit beyond the right-most point because you don't know what will happen to the graph then, instead finish the line of best fit ON the point.

Use pencil!

Be neat.

this is correct according to my knowledge. they give the markers a plastic overhead sheet with the corret graph on it in the correct proportions, then the marker simply puts it over your answer and u only get full marks if the two are the same.
