is it possible to take up a law subject in sem 2 as an elective??

i want to take up crim law 2 (laws1011) as my elective but my course is arts/edu- where u have 2 majors and 1elective

in sem 1 i did linguistics and i want to change it for sem 2...

is it possible to do?? bcuz friends of mine said if i wanted to try and do law, to take law subjects.. so..

and if so.. does ne one know the link to the law tut timetables online??

i only have the arts one..

You can't do any actual law subjects without being in the Faculty of Law, ie. any subject that has the prefix "LAWS." This includes criminal law, etc.

However, there are some business law courses under the School of Business Law & Taxation at UNSW which cover similar aspects of certain commercial law courses, having a prefix of LEGT. Here is the list. I would suggest taking LEGT1711 - Legal Environment of Commerce -- if you read the course description you'll see that it gives you a nice assortment of interesting areas of law.

Yeah unfortunately you can't do actual LAWS subjects.

There are Law general education courses that you can do, however you can only do them after 1st either, either in Summer 05/06 or from 2nd year onwards. The rule states you must have attempted 48CP to undertake gen-ed.

crim is a horrible experience yuck
