Tamil is a very interesting language. Speaking and learning expressions is quite straightforward (in comparison to Hindi and Telegu and other South-East Asian languages) but writing is quite a challenge. Back in year 11 and 12 I made heaps of Tamil-speaking friends who taught me pretty much everything I know (including insults lol). It's crazy how you can become familiar with a language (to a certain extent) just by hanging out with friends.
