apologies for the double post i needed an answer pretty quick
just a quick question on TAS
are all "good times" treated equally?
or is the good time you put in first (furthest left) your best time and the tas system takes it as your first preference

If you really need an answer, I don't know, and I don't think it matters.

Either way, put your number one preference first. And if it turns out its order sensitive, then well done, you gave it in the right order. If it isn't, no big deal because the order doesn't matter.

They are all "good" times afterall, there isn't the "best" time.

thanks for the reply.
but the thing is
for me it does matter....it's really hard to explain but like all my tuts preferences are interconnected as i'm sure most are
eg
for monday
let's say 0900-1000
1000-1100
1100-1200

and i wouldn't mind doing 2/3 those 3 times as i don't want 3 hours of tut in a row
and i put econ 1st pref 0900-1000, acct 1st pref 1000-1100, and let's say fins 5th pref 1100-1200
then i have the same equal chance of having 3 tuts in a row as i do having 2 tuts in the times stipulated and the fins tut some other day.

80% of the time you will get the first time you put down
sometimes if there's only a couple of people with a particular time they will delete that slot entirely....but you will be given plenty of time to fix up your timetable

if a lot of people pick a particular time, the faculty will make more than one tut for that concurrent time slot
so choose your first choice wisely
