who received a TAX INVOICE letter from UTS today?

its got 3 things u gotta pay for on it

Student Accomodation Levy Autumn (Compulsory Charge)
Students Association Autumn (Copulsory Charge)
UTS Union Fee Autumn (Compulsory Charge)

well wierd thing is i withdrew from uts like 4 days ago...

and yesterday lady rang me telling me i didint pay my camp money then i told her that i already withdrew

then today i receive a invoice letter in my mail...

man dont they update their databases man???

i already withdrew !!!!!

wat im scared of is that maybe i didnt withdrew properly ...
maybe i have to write a letter to the faculty or something
coz i just handed in the withdraw form and thats it.
the lady at the counter just stamped it and say thats it im unenrolled... and i was a bit sceptical as i knew it wouldnt be that easy and fast.. as i was right coz im still on their database as enrolled =(

no, it's really that simple, if she stamped it then it's fine
'sides, if you dont pay the student fees by a certain date they automatically take you off the system until you pay anyway

you should only freak out if you get a hecs statement at the end of march saying that you are enroled in a course when you're not

wat if uts didnt contact HECS that i withdrew from the course... bcoz they sure didnt contact their people within their uni !!! to update the databases !!!!

the uts database is sooooo slow at updating.. as long as the lady stamped ur form.. ur fine..

haha i think UTS suck compared to the other uni's in administration ....

considering they're a technology uni, they really lack in technology compared to most of the other uni ...

.....oh well, i've got no choice now anyway

Well its really only called that because it was renamed from the "Sydney Institute of Technology" to the "University of Technology, Sydney". You can still see the old imprints in the wall on the side of the tower building underneath the gold lettering.

It may lack in certain online functionalities (which they are working on), but the computer labs and facilities provided at UTS are quite good.

oh, you haven't even seen the start of it yet.
especially if you're doing a course which utilises computers a lot (ie IT or design) you'll have problems every fucking day. programs don't work, internet is screwed, versions of programs don't match, printers don't work, your stuff doesn't print

what???? i withdrew from my course i like sent that freaking form online liek the guy told me too

did i do it wrong??? I did an online form because thats what i was told to do =[

im not paying it. like ever.
