If you have two jobs, and earn enough in one week to be taxed for both jobs, how is the tax worked out? Would they calculate each job separetly or both together?
that sounds like you are getting over taxed. even if you are...you should get it back in you return.mija said:well i earn about $400 a week but it gets taxed to the $200s (argh!@$)
i think tax starts from $200, i duno
yeah they'll be taxed together
thats something i didnt know...Ms 12 said:You are taxed 47.5 cents for every dollar you earn in a second job. You get most back at tax time, but you can only claim the tax-free threshold for your first job.
This is why taking a second job to earn more money is not always such a good idea, cos you have to work twice as hard to make the money.
Last time I checked the tax brackets were:redruM said:that sounds like you are getting over taxed. even if you are...you should get it back in you return.
i think the tax brackets are:
0 - 6K: no tax
6K - 12K: 10c/$1
12K - 20K: 20c/$1
....
should be a guidline to how much you get taxed. be careful though...if you get paid $1500 a week then they will assume that you get paid that amount every week so they'll tax you accordingly...this you get back in the return
