Would there be positions for telecommunications engineering in the defence force for graduates?

Does the defence force conduct research or is it all practical work?

Engineering Positions in the ADF

There are plenty of positions in the Army, Air Force and the Navy for Engineers.

Are you aware that you could possibly be sponsored at Univeristy? Its called the Undergraduate Scheme and while being sponsored your HECS are paid for, you get paid a wage (starts at around $19,000), rental assistance, free medical and dental, book allowance....

Have a look at defencejobs.gov.au and then click on "careers explorer" then click on "undergraduate scheme". Engineers are generally Officers so if you click on a selection that searches the jobs available within a particular service ensure you click on the "officer" button.

Within the Careers Explorer part of our defencejobs.gov.au website each one of our 280 different jobs have up to 10 pages of information on the requirements - for Engineering it will list the relevant degrees to the job. If you have any problems call 13 19 01 and ask for a Defence Recruiter to call you and discuss it further.

Thanks for your question. good luck
