I don't think the HSC examiners will ask you to write something like that. The questions will be asking for reference to the prescribed texts. But just as a piece of writing, it was a joy to read.

Anyway, as for the piece, I quite enjoyed it. The end is a bit cliche though. So I would try and tie in the moral of the story with your culture to make it more original. Examiners love reading about different cultures. Best of luck!
