Hey first time poster.

WTF? 108 people in 3U maths?!?!? We have 15...

Maths: 98% -1st (Which is weird cos I usually get like 70s and come 15th....who woulda thought studying actually works?!?!)
Ext Maths: 71% 5th
English: 80% 3rd (which is also weird cos im usually a gun at english...stupid creative writing thingy)
Modern History: 83% -3rd
Chemistry: 95% 1st
Bio: 93% 1st
Ext English: 72% 2nd

Dont let the positions fool you into thinking im smart...our school just isnt that great.
wow, we've only got 5 people in my maths ext class... probably will end up having 3 in the hsc year

For sure, it's all about improving, even if you get 100% throughout, you can never stop improving.

Hopefully, I will improve because I'm really aiming for a 95+ UAI... and I've been studying these holidays. For my yearlies, I will strive to get 80%+ in all my subjects, not too hard I hope ^^.

Good stuff, as long as you stick to it, you'll do well and it shouldn't be too hard to reach, not that I'm speaking from experience though :)

My school doesn't make us do half yearly exams until we hit Year 12 (then again, my school isn't your conventional high school) - only had to take an exam in General Maths, which I pretty much aced. 52 out of 68, or 82%.

My half-yearly report, on the other hand...

English Advanced: 52/100, 19/19
Ancient History: 82/100, 1/14
Senior Science: 60/100, 11/22
General Maths: 81/100, 10/43
Legal Studies: no result, might need to chase up my teacher about that next Tuesday
Drama: 80/100, 2/20

This is out of a whole grade of around 60-70 - my school has approximately 350 students, most of which is made up of Year 10 students.

I'm quite pleased with those marks, aside from English which I really need to work on. It's a far cry from my first go-through of Year 11, where I routinely failed most of my subjects - hard to believe I even managed to get my HSC, really...
