Telstra customers are charged at $139/GB after they exceed their limit.

Optus customers are capped (bandwidth cap). I don't think you would like to be seeing a bill in the thousands of dollars, as opposed to being reduced in terms of speed, and not being charged thereafter.

True, unlimited quota with a limited downstream line is the preferred option, rather than being uncapped (going full speed) with a meagre monthly quota.

at least with ADSL, the 'cap' is still faster than dialup
