Hey, yes, this is the infamous Text in the City.

I can actually say I hope they're worthy of customers, the owner of Co-op actually does give a damn about uni students. I asked her the procedure of what happens if a student asks for a refund on an item they didn't get a discount on, because they came before the sale, and she said "refund it", and I go "you don't want them taking their business elsewhere..." and she goes "no, but some students spend 200$+ here, and 20% is a lot of dough to them". I was shocked that someone with their money in a business could give a damn.

Ditto. Next semester.

Some competition in this area would be awesome. I was considering starting a proper MQ book co-op, at one stage.. Like what the co-op was about 30 years ago, before it went all profit-oriented.

If you could find yourself a ready source of used textbooks or wholesale sources you could easily start one. Probably start small and go through uni and grab international or exchange students' books for cheap and resell them and concentrate on popular subjects, mainly EFS,etc before branching out into some wholesale/amazon purchases.
