What textbooks would you recommend for:

Chemistry
Economics
Maths (2u, 3u and 4u)

In addition, what study tips should be implemented alongside these subjects?

Cambridge for Maths, I'm using the 3U book now and the questions are really much more challenging than the ones in MIF.
Our school will be using Conquering Chemistry next year, but I can't really say anything about it (never used it :p)

Maths: Cambridge or Fitzpatrick
Chemistry: Conquering Chemistry or Chemistry Contents
Economics: don't know

As to how you should study for these subjects, understand the concepts and how they relate to each other. When you get that down, do practice questions and past papers - you should be fine. :)

We used MiF for 2U but I don't recommend it at all. It's pretty crap.

For economics most people use either Tim Dixon+John O'Mahony or Tim Riley but for prelim I would suggest Dixon/O'Mahony just because it's easier to understand but then in Y12 I would suggest using Riley (or both text books although it's not completely necessary).

Adding to that, read Ross Gittin's articles on the SMH - it'll keep you up to date with the economy.

Chemistry - Conquering Chem with Jacaranda Chem (has practicals) + Contexts (for easy understanding - but don't rely on it)
Economics - Tim Riley (Rely on more) + Tim Dixon (Read before making notes from Riley, also good for times when you don't understand Riley, can make some notes if he explains it better)
Maths 2U and 3U - Definitely Cambridge (Main one), Fitzpatrick and maybe Terry Lee.
Sorry I don't do 4 unit, but trust other people :) I heard Cambridge 4 unit is bad.

Please AVOID these ones below for maths, unless you're struggling with basic concepts:
- Maths in focus (Seriously this is a yucky book!)
- Jones and couchman (ewwwww)
- Understanding year 12 maths or something (simple questions)

For Economics you can also get Updated Economics by Bulmer. Although by itself I wouldn't say it is the best it has a lot of good statistics which you wouldn't find in Riley/Dixon.
