ok theres something that ive found i really like, that instantly attracts me to a good song... now dont get me wrong it isnt just in wrap, and just because it is in *some* pop-style hiphop songs doesnt mean i dont like the harder more traditioonal stuff [infact i prefer it] but theres this one thing i like

ok i wil ltry an describe it, its a particular flow, with a particular heavy sounding tune in the background with some kickin base

heres an example some people here will get: the start of Kill us all - twista ... the beat is all throughout the song, but cause no1 is saying anything at the begining u can hear it best there

an example more pople will get: lapdance - n.e.r.d it sounds fairly heavy, just not during a bit of the chorus and when the girls are singing, mostly during the verse and at begining ... actually best att he begining..once again

now this type of heavy beat i seem to really like... dunno why is there a particular word for it?
like heavy riff rap or some sort of phrase or something... its not necessarily club music cause thats usually a bit lighter, and besides twista aint exactly mainstream or slow enough for clubs

err if uwant another pop example: hey mama - black eyed peas... it only starts when the chorus bit at the begining starts after they say rewind
thats kinda not the best example cause u need a decent system with the bass turned right up to hear it properly, but its there

the organ type sound that is at the start of 'kill us all' or the stringy guitar type sound? or the bass?

nothing beats boom bap :(
more alot of it togther cause the bass sound cool, good to cruise with :) but the guitar sound adds colour to the background,,, which alot of these types of songs have... its like a decent bass sound with a good riff and ofcourse a good rap[although in this convo iam not taking into account the rap]

yeh i wondered why i liked mobb deep alot, they usually rip it nicely

I kind of know what you mean,

I liek the beats in these songs -

Ashanti ft. Paul Wall and Method Man - Still On It
Kanye West ft Adam Levine - Heard Em Say
Juelz Santana - There It Go Whistle Song
Chamillionaire ft Lil' Flip - Turn It Up
Ludacris - Blueberry Yum Yum
Nelly ft Paul Wall, Ali and Big Gipp - Grillz
Paul Wall - Sittin Sidewayz

all of them sound very good on a system..
