Hmm I would sometimes argue with a lot of your post, but the thing I will focus on is this:Your mention of "God's Will" is interesting, because by definition euthanasia and abortion are acts of man's will in defiance of natural order*, it is death on demand. If it were really "God's Will" that they die, then we as humans wouldn't be able to stop it.

*do not take this to mean we should abandon all medical practice and leave everything to nature, that is a different issue altogether (albeit stupid).
just because you put it in smaller font with an asterisk doesn't mean it doesn't completely destroy your argument

if god has control over everything, how could anything that happens not be considered his will

after all, he created everything and everyone and is all powerful

 I knew one of you had to come along sooner or later. There is a reason I put that down the bottom, and I thought it was quite clear - different matter altogether.

Just because God has a will, does every moment and action have to be an act of that will? Or are you forgetting that humans have free will? If God does indeed choose to do something, then no mortal act could prevent that because He is allpowerful. However, not everything is a direct result of Divine Will - this is why humans have free will. We are given the ability to make decisions for ourselves. Many of those decisions will be immoral ones (ie "the wrong decisions"), but we are still free to make them.

God may have power over everything, but He can also choose not to exercise that power.

That's a pretty controversial question actually
Hehe yes. But in a thread like this I have to make SOME assumptions (like the assumption that we have free will).

Otherwise we'd just get into Philosophy Poopyland and people who don't understand will feel justified in shouting "nuRr YoUse R aLl F4Gz St0p th1nKn b0ut diz Sheyt N l1vE! peese out"

I think the Philosophy thread is in itself too big and too broad. I wanted to use this sub-forum as a pseudo-philosophy thread cause the regulars are more mature and actually think before they post, most of the time, but thought the mods wouldn't like it. =\
I believe in circumstance.

I actually avoided this forum for a very long time, but your post above has made me realise that suddenly I am checking it every day.
