Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Inventions do not get as much credit and recognition as they duly deserve, so here is the thread to learn more about this amazing abnd, and to post trivila tidbits, such as: Did you know that the only award Zappa was ever nominated for, for his song Valley Girl, was beaten by Yey of The Tiger. Zappa rips

Some of the music Zappas put out absolutely rips over most of the stuff put out by bands nowadays. We've got some 'musos' at our school n they're all goin in circles. Who likes the Strokes AND Black Sabbath? Not one of em's even heard of Zappa. Some people need to hear San Ber'dino, Willie the Pimp and I am the Slime. They are absolutely bitchin'
