sit down, take a deep breath and ask yourself, do you really want to be part of a cohort that is 2nd best? or are you an individual who only seeks to be number one, thus only wants to be around a cohort who ARE number 1?

I cannot stress enough that the UTS Law School is committed to providing all students with the foundational principles and framework of the law and the specialist skills for todays transnational and international legal work. UTS academic staff, with their backgrounds in scholarly research, commercial practice and judicial experience, will give you the necessary direction to develop your skills of reasoning and advocacy, such experiences of all sectors of the legal system cannot be compared to any university across the Australian continent.

Everyone gets so concerned and antsy about what law school is: best, most prestigious, distinguished, respected, esteemed, eminent, august, highly regarded, well-thought-of, acclaimed, authoritative, celebrated, illustrious, leading, renowned.

I mean it's just the product of extreme insecurity. You see, a certain type of person is attracted to law and then does well at it. These people are often not confortable with themselves, feel a great sense of inferiority, are never satisfied or happy with their achievements, and, if not already, will probably experience mental health problems, namely severe depression.

Take old mate who couldn't blow UTS' horn any harder. What was he really getting at? Ultimately he was just trying to talk himself up and make himself feel good about his decisions/position. With this attitude you are likely to be really disappointed when you can't get a highly sought after clerkship/grad job etc. The market for lawyers is saturated, everyone does it any there are so few jobs. I'm sorry for being cruel, But, you're not fooling anyone.

Can't we all just overcome this competitive crap to come together and collaborate to create the greatest thesaurus in the western english speaking world. We could practice our alliteration too.

Law is good to study, but accept it as just that.

You seem to be rather cynical about the whole law thing - are you going for law? or are you just making a point?

People need to brag about their uni's (or as sammy would say "grow their e-penis") - thats just life. As a potential student you just gotta sort through all the crap and work out what's biased and make your own decision. There is no definitive answer on 'which is the best uni' for this, we all have ideas, and some research says this, but you have to make your own informed decision.

Finally - if you are not concerned with prestige go to JCU/UWS.

Ps - I have heaps of mates that do ANU law, they say it's hard but they enjoy it. They are happy to be here at ANU. Provided its not shit, thats all the input you need from other people

im sorry, your are loosing a bit of rationality. one can also claim that if a Usyd student promotes Usyd law he is being bias aswell.
i am not being bias. i have to interaction with UTS law faculty, neither have i ever been anywhere near the LAW building. my opinion are absolutely from a neutral point of view.
