Hmmm might be an idea to tell us about your favourite part, characters and how crowded the movie theater was being the first day of screening in Australia.

I was thinking about seeing it but haven't read the books will I be that confused?

no.

Theyve probably massacred the books story line.

Considering the White Witches sleigh is being pulled by POLAR FUCKING BEARS.
No not like White Reindeer, in the book ay.

Greater Union website says
"The first novel in the seven-part The Chronicles of Narnia series concerns a war between good and evil, pitting the magnificent lion, Aslan, against the forces of darkness in the magical world of Narnia."

SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO THEIR FUCKING RESEARCH.
whilst it was the first published.
But the LWW is the second novel in the Narnia Chronicles.

Theyre killing Narnia :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Ive read the entire Chronicles, at least, 50 times. It upsets me to see how they kill good books like this.

If this movie isnt good, im buying a gun and visiting Andrew Adamson.

Actually she is only riding with Polar Bears in the battle scene.

In all other scenes, she is ridin the sleigh with the white reindeer

I can't believe they said it was the first book of the series. >.< Dude, that is slack research on the part of the marketing team.

I read some scattered books about a decade ago, and read the first three books again recently. REALLY love that I still enjoyed it at 18 as much as I did at 8!

Looking forward to going to see it. Possibly will go on the weekend.

This further proves my point.
At no time in the novel did the White Witch engage in battle whilst riding a sleigh.
Her, Edmund and her Dwarf leave the sleigh when the enchanted Winter is ending.

Its a shit movie,
dead boring can't wait for this shit to end.
Characters are unbelieveable
And the only good parts (the battle scenes) are piss poor rip offs of the LotR battle scenes,

It's the first one of the series that he wrote, although not the first in the internal chronological order of the series. It was probably 'near enough'.

It's really disappointing when a movie's really good, but several parts just let it down.

Some of the dialogue was just so bad, especially with Aslan.

Peter (William Moseley) was just such a bad actor at times, but Tilda Swinton is always worth watching, imo. She was the only part of the movie that I thought was worth watching. ILM always does a really squeeky-clean environment, in terms of graphics, and I think that let the movie down, too.

me too the queue was very long lol

I liked it, very reminiscent of LOTR especially the battle scenes - and older Edmund was hot ;)

I thought I saw a reference to 'bullet time' in the battle... And the White Witch was riding a roman-styled silver chariot that was pulled by polar bears - they cut out the scene when she had to leave the sleigh behind.
