the cunts at channel 9 have decided to fit it in the convenient timeslot of 2AM Mon, but that shouldn't stop you from watching what is arguably the finest american comedy series in the history of the universe. or you can just rent the first few seasons on dvd.

more proof that laugh-track-less comedy is always the best.

it has some good moments (i saw the 1st season when it was on last year), but it's definately not as good as the stuff he wrote for seinfeld

i dunno, so far it's hard to compare them, but at the rate its going it could surpass seinfeld.

I was going to watch it when I heard it was coming to Australia but then I saw it on at a ridiculous time in the morning. I will have to see it one day:).

I watched the last episode with the Sponge Cake and the Nanny that was mentally scared because she worked at the Looney Tune Park for 15 years .... classic! :p

What season is it in at the moment? Are we getting some of the latest eps or really old ones?

Larry David rocks. I had no idea they were showing CYE again, I'll have to watch it tonight. For such an obscure and slow comedy I'm just glad it's on tv at all.

I've got the first 2 seasons on DVD, favourites are Beloved aunt, The group and The doll.

bump

anyone else been watching and loving season 6 (the final season - started about 3 weeks ago)??

fav part so far: 'i gets mine larry. i gives the ruckus to the ladies'

as per an earlier discussion
i like curb far more than seinfeld
it's even more cynical, and the comedy reaches greater heights (look no further than season 4 - the entire 'producers' arc)
gotta be someone still watching this top show!?

I'm still halfway through season 5.

My favourite quote still is:

"You pee sitting down? What is that...?"

"...do you crap standing up?"

this show is the funniest ever on TV imho. it pinpoints my sense of humour EXACTLY. i think i've seen nearly every episode, there are heaps of reruns on the comedy channel.

my fave episode is the restaurant opening.
