wat bout this then?

"Don't be stupid," Hermione snapped, starting to pound up her beetles again. "No, it's just ... how did she know Viktor asked me to visit him over the summer?"

Hermione blushed scarlet as she said this, and determinedly avoided Ron's eyes.

or this?

Q- Is it just me, or was something going on between Ron and Hermione during the last half of Goblet of Fire?

A - Yes, something's "going on," but Ron doesn't realize it yet. Typical boy.

anywayz....i dun care...im havin fun waiting for the next book to come out

And besides, Hermione liking Harry is a much bigger plot point than her liking Ron. It will cause Ron to become jealous (it's obvious he likes her), so Harry will have to deal with external problems (ie Voldemort) in adition to internal problems (a falling-out with Ron).
i do agree with that tho....

Seriously agree with lilmzqt!

If Hermione is going to like Harry its going to evolve in the next book, because up and til now the chemistry is ALL between her and Ron.

But does anyone ever read crappy fan fiction? Because in them, people seem to have an obsession with Hermione and Draco getting together in a very Lily and James way... too funny.

Right now is all about Hermione and Ron and (like I always whine) JK giving Harry nothing but trouble.

note: draco is evil. james was just a nob.

and for all the shippers who turn draco into this reasonable, non-evil sex god - HE IS BAD!!! proverbs about leopards and spots come to mind.

jkr has said harry gets romance in HBP. and it's not with cho. and she's said it's obvious who hermione likes, and the harry thing is not as obvious as the ron thing! if ur going to use logic, remember to apply it to characters, not real people.

my picks:
hermione/ron (harry will walk in on them kissing, having spent ages feeling all left out because they've been sneaking around. big plot point as the happy couple spends time together and harry sulks as feels like third wheel :D)
harry/ginny (well who else is it going to be? giggly parvati? flaky hannah abbott? evilpugfaced pansy?)

Awww why spoil the fun? The Draco sex god is the best - though the fanfics have affected how I see JKR's characters now.. especially Draco.

But I agree with the hermione/ron and harry/ginny thing.. unless theres a new character introduced that will steal one of them away.

FanFics are usually very, very lame. Trust me, I should know - I write them. The writers totally miss the whole point of the characters often re-creating their personalities very quickly so they go from sweet lovable little Timmy to evil aggeressive Timbo for example. Sure, Fan Fiction is an odd phenomenon, taking an author's characters and making them your own for a short time, but I try not to read it (especially as I know what I'm capable of when I write it) because it just distorts the characters.

From the often overbearing to the downright disturbing, there seems to be quite a following of the Snape-Hermione (someone really needs to get out a bit more) relationship ... so much so that someone has gone ahead and made this site: http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com/
SS/HG is not only wrong, it's downright random. snape and hermione have very little to do with one another, compared to any of the other ships and slashes.

note the particular lack of canon-based ships though. the biggest are DM/HP and DM/HG, which would never ever ever happen, and neither would SS/HG. there are relatively few ships that actually pair non-dark characters eg. the painfully obvious RW/HG. the biggest following there is the harry/ron slash.

this is what i'm reduced to to hold me over until HBP. *groans*

must spend less time on mugglenet.

i know, most of them are totally shit, and all of them unnecessary. especially offensive are the porn-without-plot ones. it's a genre all its own.

tonight, on sick sad world...

Haha how do you make a thread about Harry Potter EVEN WORSE?

Throw in fan fiction! :p
It's what happens when you have to wait even a short time for the next book in a series... i'm curious as to what's going to happen, but unlike others, i guess i don't bother speculating by writing fan fiction. ah well.

I admit all this fan fiction talk was my fault. Sorry kids.

i didnt get the whole neville longbottom reference in the order of the pheonix. As in the whole trelawney making the premonition and there being two boys that it could've been (neville or harry) but voldemort going after harry. What does that mean? Or is that going to be developed?

I think neville is sweet "why is it always me?" in the chamber of secrets movie was done so well.

don't think neville will go - he seems to have an important role coming up.
his parents were just introduced, his hatred for Voldemort and anything Dark Arts is developing and - a major point - isn't the bumbling fool who u THINK knows nothing always an integral part in a story?
