I just read 'What a Piece of Work'. It is more subtle than 'The Monkey's Mask', but still manages to pack a great punch in the face in the middle of the night.
After I read the poem 'dogged', i couldn't sleep, and all the clouds on the plane had penii. 'Mysterium Conjunctionis' made me feel so sad and so devilishly happy at th same time i didn't know whether to cry or smirk.

I love Dorothy Porter. She is up there with the all-time great verse novelists.

I am itching to read 'Wild Surmise'. More than anything, i am itching to talk to people about her poems, people other than my High School Extension English teacher.

So, people, discuss how awesomely talented and important she is.

yeah i've only read the monkey's mask but i like the real-ness of her writing. if that makes sense. very easy to read and pretty interesting.
