Re: The Official Football Thread

When I saw Torres clear at the end I was like, "That's odd... where the heck did their defenders go?"

But thoroughly entertaining match, nonetheless.

What's more funny is that every highlights video I go to some butthurt Barcelona supporter (if such things exist) is calling for offside.

Clearly they do not know the rules of football to be watching such a huge game.

Re: The Official Football Thread

the way he rounded the keeper looked very much similar to that clanger he had in the epl earlier this season
Actually it's so good that next time I play FIFA 12, I'm totes trying that move out.

If only I could figure out how to do that intricate, direct and through passing that Barca does... gah.

We would of qualified regardless of whether torres had scored or not. But what an amazing game. Absolutely AMAZING. 2-0 down, captain sent off, against the best team in the world (quite brilliant how guardiolas barca have NEVER beaten chelsea and lio messi has NEVER scored against chelsea). To come back from all that and defend and defend like champions is just magnificent. And now we're in the final anything can happen. I mean if bosingwa of all people can play at centre back then ANYTHING can happen

Maybe money does buy you wins. Liverpool excused.

Though it's Europa League for Chelski unless you actually win the UCL.

Yeah won't be happening.

I heard how awesome it was - I totally regretted not recording the game...

Its the worst way to lose. Really felt for jose after the game especially seeing him walk straight into the tunnel

yeah, could be mourinho's last season at real before he moves onto another challenge and he could have conquered both europe and spain before the left.

Michael Owen that fuckwit is probably thinking the same thing. Hoping for a chance he is never going to get.

Re: The Official Football Thread

only if your backing the winning team :(
Suppose. Or a neutral. I just think they're fascinating.

I hate how I heard FIFA want to do "other measures" to not have penalty kicks to decide a game anymore. Like they were considering like taking players off every 5 minutes or counting number of corners or least yellow cards...

Penalty kicks... the drama, the excitement. It's "pure". It involves the point of the game - to score a goal.

But I agree - it sucks to be on the losing team. I remember when Man U won the Champions League in 2008? Frigging John Terry just had to slip.

Lol OzKo means serious business when he's swearing.

Harsh.

Though he'll never relive his glory days as the 'Wonderboy' when he played for Pool. He'll probably move to China or Qatar to play for a cash/oil plenty team that are willing to provide over inflated wages to washed out footballers.
