not that i haven't :eek:

I don't really get what your trying to say.

But on that issue, the EPL can fuck off.

Australia = A-League
England = EPL

If they want exposure, an EPL team can come down and play a friendly against an A-League team at the end of the season.

Go research some stats on the crowd figures for EPL games in their 3rd season.

If you are trying to compare the two leagues, il give you the tip: APPLES. ORANGES.
What reason is there that the A-League cant climb to an EPL standard over the long-term?

You've got to crawl before you walk.

A league wont climb to EPL in the long term, because there isnt enough money in australia to attract alot of decent players/ keep them there.

Edit: you also have to learn how to pass before you start attracting crowds.

Anyways i have had enough of arguing.

the quality of footbal in A -league imo is shit, and would usually stop me from watching a game unless it was a big game or i was there to watch it live. And you have your opinon. end of story.

Big afternoon of sport this arvo.

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

Absolute bullshit.

Awesome atmosphere at the ground, but on the field both teams pulled out their worst performances of the season. Passing was dogs balls, and crossing was similar to that witnessed at an under12's level.

Pity that it was Vidmar's last game, because he wanted to leave in different circumstances and he is the type of guy that will hold onto something like that.

Mark Shield needs a guide dog, he was a disgrace. The handball by Holland in the dying seconds was bleedingly blatant, and he simply waived it away in the dying seconds. I can not for the life of me understand how he has just now been given the Ref of the Year. Honestly.

Good effort to the guys for giving Shield a spray around the 90th, because to have the game on a knife's edge like that, and have a blind eye turned to a crucial decision is a real kick in the teeth for all those involved. I guess it just showed how much it meant to the boys.

As far as the issue with Danny goes, it was the wrong thing to do. But common sense should prevail. Getting involved physically with the ref is not on, but he is only young and emotions were high. To me, talk of even a 12 month ban is nothing but a gross overreaction.

It was a close game even though both teams were well down on their last matches played. Would have been very interesting at 1-1 going into extra time.

Its all irrelevant now though, another hugely successful season, and both teams now head to the Asia.

Will be interesting to see how the contract negotiations develop during the off-season and who comes and goes. Deja vu?

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

shouldn't be life, but should be something decent. i liked the idea of a 1 or 2 year suspended sentence, and him miss 6-8 games next season.
