Guest stint.

ugh

Not worth it from a development point of view. "Hey guys, we've been building team chemistry for the past 12 weeks - but try and let this new guy fit in with us... btw, he's only here for ten games"

But if it gets bums in seats...

I meant for the players it wouldn't be that great because they suddenly have to learn how to play with a new guy, but only for a month or so.

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

I just don't think it's good for teams to have some random new guy come in and take a starter spot from someone who's been working hard all season, and for the club to no doubt change their style of play to suit this new guy - but only for ten games. And after he's gone, "Okay guys, let's start playing like we did eleven games ago again - because we can't rely on that new guy anymore because he left"

Sure, economic benefits are great. But... team chemistry!

Well Benitez's contract only runs to the end of the season from memory. Chelsea's definitely leaving the door open.

I don't quite understand why RDM got the boot so quickly. Probably because I'm an Arsenal fan I don't understand, but I would think that the board would have given him more time despite the UCL results.

Any other board in the world, probably yes.

But it's Chelsea we're talking about!

Re: The Official Football Thread

being a chelsea boss is almost as bad as being a sydney fc boss.

i thought di mateo was doing a good job, though i didnt like his parking the bus against teams who they are clearly better than.

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

its official, from next season onwards there will be friday night football on sbs.
BUZZING! Hopefully they'll show Sydney FC and Wanderers games rather than Wellington Phoenix or some other non-relevant side.

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

Considering there's only one match played on Fridays now, pretty much - it'll depend who's playing.

But I think all the teams will get a go anyways.

Yeah, getting pretty excited for them, eager to see WSW vs CCM this Sunday.
