The Justice Game is about the legal system that is supposed to elucidate truth to come to the conclusion of justice. In each text, imagine it should be an encyclopedia entry (perhaps). Anything that isn't the raw fact must have been manipulated in some way. GR manipulates his retellings to convey his version of truth. For example in Michael X, he doesn't talk about the crime until much later. He creats pathos in the opening when he talks about the cab driver (as he wants GR's client to be killed). He talks (in detail) about the situation (one of the things you may be asked about, along with events and personalities) of the prison. How they can hear the trap door, the irony (burying the bodies to help the plants grow), the secret practices that are performed (cutting their tendons or whatever it is). He also talks about the guys personality saying he is a changed man etc.

In the first chapter set for study (Oz Trials) you might want to find information about theatre as a metaphor (stage hand for the defence, it was located behind Picadilly Gardens [or something] that's a theatre place), justice as a game (read the opening preface thing [it tells you about his purpose and has some good quotes you can mention] justice is the biggest game of all... or something), the portrayal of Judge Argyle, Mary Whitehouse (didn't even see the play etc.).

You should know all of them, but certainly know 2 or 3 in detail for exams along with 2 supplementary texts I think it is. If you choose ones for the exam, possibly do different ones like don't do all of them on censorship. I did one on privacy (Diana in the Dock) and one on censorship (Oz Trials, it's good to read Who is Abby Hoffman for some background info as a few good quotes are there - GR sees the magazine as juvenalia and a coffee table mag). Then maybe do one on the death penalty. Maybe support censorship argument saying like "GR's portrayal of Judge Argyle is integral to deflate his status. Just like Mary Whitehouse in The Romans in Britain, GR uses...".

You might want to structure it in issues too. Like talk about truth as objective or subjective, talk about how the book itself positions the responder to accept the truth (GR is in his "silks" [his QC outfit], there are 17 quotes of praise, the book is in simple, elegant colours like black, gold and silver etc.), talk about how people in power can manipulate truth, personal biases influence the truth/verdict too etc.
