Compare and contrast the problems faced by young male and female offenders when they come into contact with the CJS

is it asking about juviniles in general or a comparison between genders cuz i really cannot remember learning about the latter?

Economic and Social - some people committ crimes because they can benefit materially from society, thus they do not feel it as wrong in committing crime and only see the gains

Genetic Theories - The most that can be said is that it is possible that some peoples genetic makeup can contribute to their criminal behaviour

Self Interest and Greed - evidently, more crimes are being committed because due to the human vice of greed, more individuals are wanting to gain quicker and easier, thus slef interest and greed is increasingly prevalent

Political - to oppose the actions of governments. usualyl occurs peacefully through demonstrations, however, in prolonged cases it can lead to large scale violence

Other theories - i.e. differential association, anomie theory etc.

1: Civil and Political rights (ICCPR 1966)
2: Economic Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR 1976)
3: Peace rights, self-determination rights, environmental rights, right to development etc.

That was a HSC question our teacher taunted us with, asking "Which do you think was right? The individual/collective or the 1st/2nd/3rd generation?" Made us debate it for like 15 minutes then was like "LOL Both answers could be right."

Lol of course it confused you, it confused the entire state in 05 I think it was? There was a massive uproar about that question, especially for the fact that C and D were similar.

When I turn my laptop on I will post an essay plan which I created..

Don't lose sleep over the question, be sure nothing similar will be asked again lol

Briefly define the types of crimes that can be committed against the individual

Homocide: Unlawfully ending a life. Different categories

Murder: Intentional homocide. Both mens reas and actus reus must be proven.
Involuntary manslaughter: not intended but the actions led to the crime
Voluntary manslaughter:intended to kill but had mitigating circumstances
Constructuve manslaughter:not inteded but was done in the action of committing another crime. eg. kate committs armed robbery and in hurry of fleeing accidently shoots a bank clerk.
Death by reckeless driving: self explanatory
Infanticide: Mother killing a child under 12 months. can be aquitted or have sentence reduced if post-natal depression led to the act.

Assault: the threat or actual violence, which harms a personl, physically or psychologically. Legal if: permitted eg. boxing game and in self defence.

Sexual assault: any form of sexual action that is abusive, harmful, or embarasing.
no longer called rape, but rape is charged with say 4 counts of sexual assault. statuatory rape is sexual contact with minors (u'16) even with their permission.

Victimless crimes are criminal acts because they infringe on the morality of society. For example, smoking Mark J. Although it doesn't harm anyone but those who smoke it, it does infringe on society's morality, therefore rendering it illegal.

No its not, thats why there was so many problems, the questions are meant to be set from the syllabus.

The question would be slightly answerable if it asked it in contrast to young people and adults, that way you could manipulate purposes of punishment, detention, sentencing, justice confrencing etc.

But such a poor question, I will show you my average plan when I get a chance.
