yes, you have a point. i dare say that 9/11 helped muslims wake up to their religion, even though many still want to live like they always have, being able to walk in the street and not have to look around for fear that someone is going to spit at them and blame them for any terrorist activity that has occured since.
That is so true! Pregnant muslim women have been beaten in the streets. ANd muslim women are focibly being told by westerners and say that they are oppressed while they say they arent. DO muslim women have to run naked inthe streets before people believe them. And do muslim men have to wear tight pink metro sexual shirts, or let thier boxershorts hang out and wera pants round thier ankles, and smoke weed and drink alchohol and take advantage of women and objectify them before they aren't considered to be terrorists? It's rediculous.

Just because you say you aren't oppressed does not mean that you are not... not to say that you are, but it is wrong to claim that muslim women are not oppressed by a vicious conservative religious doctrine.

Ask a muslim woman, ask her if she's oppressed? If you have rights in a religion, moreso than women do in the western world, even after women have fought for so long clearly can't mean a mulsim woman is oppressed.

Even if a muslim woman tells me she is not oppressed, she would have to show me evidence to that fact....

Not all muslim females are oppressed...
It just turns out that sharia law in prodiminately muslim countries tends to be particularily oppressive towards women.

yuor also living in australia, which has laws that doesnt allow women to be exactly oppressed. But the quran clearly shows that women were oppressed back when it was made , and its clear that in middle east countries alot more women are oppressed.

that is because the teachings have been enforced in an out of hand manner. true they should enforce the religion they follow, but from what i recall, non-muslims didnt have to follow islamic law during the prophet's time. and it could also be for intimidating western governments to leave them alone, or they are trying to bring western law into islamic law, and the result is some crazy legal system.
