I watched it the other day and it was ok...
The kid was great. He scared the bejesus out of me and I'll never look at little boys the same way again...ok that sounded wrong but yeah.

I didn't like the movie. Every scare was a cheap shot, something sudden with loud noises, rather than having anything to fear. Nothing about the scares were clever.

I did however enjoy the death of Kate. As in, I hated that she was fighting for her life like that but it was effective, it was slow, none of that hollywood JUMP SCARE stuff, it was kind of relieving to have something become a burn like that.

I want to stress how reminiscent it was of "Final Destination" as well. It's was retarded that way.

I wouldnt waste money on this movie. Maybe rent it out, but not worth the cinema cash.

well the it was a remake and the original was bloody good - i watched it when i was like 10 and since havent any other movie scarier.
Nowadays directors seem to try achieve scare by just using gore scenes which is crap.
Gore doesnt equal scary!
GOre = interesting special effects
